In a world where girls are often introduced to unsustainable, single-use sanitary products from the moment they start their periods, it's unbelievable what a difference switching to reusable products can make! Cloth sanitary pads are like so many reusable products - once you've tried them, you'll never want to go back.

Baba+Boo's cloth sanitary pads (or CSPs) are super comfy, thanks to their top layer of super-soft bamboo charcoal fleece, which also reduces odours. Below this, there's an absorbent, microfibre inner layer and a waterproof outer layer made from the same breathable PUL which makes Baba+Boo's cloth nappies so popular!

We use and love these pads ourselves; sometimes on their own, and sometimes as back-ups for menstrual cups (like the OrganiCup). To use, simply pop the pad in your underwear and use the poppers to snap them in place! Although CSPs don't stick to your underwear in the same way that disposable pads do, they don't slip or shift during normal, everyday use.

Top tip: If you're out for a walk, off on a run or doing any kind of sport that involves more movement than usual, we recommend pulling a second pair of underwear over the top, which will hold the pad securely in place while you exercise!

  • 1 pad (size and print of your choice)
  • Sizes:
    • Medium: 19 cm x 17 cm - perfect for daytime use
    • Large: 26 cm x 18 cm - perfect for heavier days and night time
    • Extra large: 30 cm x 23 cm (with wings - the main pad is 9 cm wide) - perfect for overnight if you have a heavy period and can also be used post-partum
  • Material: 100% polyester
    • Spotty Version: Outer Fleece Polyester, Inner 88% Polyester 12% Nylon. Backed with PUL
  • Care instructions:
    • Pre-washing: Wash the pads a couple of times before using them for the first time - this will increase their absorbency
    • After use: Rinse the pads in cold water to prevent stains (you can also pop them on the floor of the shower while you wash and let the shower do the work for you!). Baba+Boo's wet bags are perfect for storing the pads until you get the chance to wash them!
    • Washing: Machine washable up to 60°C. Please don't wash with softener as this reduces absorbency.
    • Drying: Avoid direct heat - air drying the pads is recommended
  • For nine years, Baba+Boo has been producing its products in a small, independently tested factory in China. Baba+Boo places great importance on compliance with social criteria such as preventing excessive working hours, prohibiting child labour and providing safe working conditions. The seamstresses are mothers from the region who are allowed to organise their work around their families. Baba+Boo's products are independently tested too.

About Baba+Boo

Baba+Boo was started by Eva, mum to two little ones. She was searching for a sustainable alternative to disposable nappies and ended up creating her own line of cloth nappies, designed to perfectly meet her family's needs.

All of Baba+Boo's products are ethically manufactured: absolutely no child labour, and all workers are paid fairly and do not work excessive hours. All factories need to comply with strict rules. All products continually undergo stringent testing and don't contain any harmful chemicals.

Baba+Boo supports a variety of charities and is always looking for ways to give back to society.
